Just got this machine today. Video below with a blind basket. Any idea what's going on? I feel like pressure should build a lot quicker.

When brewing a shot, I only get up to about 3 bars or so.

Any ideas?

If it is new: contact the reseller.
If it is not new/under warranty: maybe replace some pressure valves? Maybe the Ulka EX5 vibration pump is not quite ok? (It happens. Descaling sometimes helps as well, but it can also cause some problems if bits of debris get loose.).

Thanks for the reply.

It's a new machine. On it's way back for an exchange.

Yup, something's wrong. I have the same machine and the pressure comes up right away on the blind basket, within 2-3 seconds I'd say...good luck with the replacement.

The new Pro 500 showed up yesterday.

Works like a charm. Spent all day yesterday and today brewing shots and dialing it in! Having a great time.

Thanks to the folks at IDC for a quick resolution to my problem!

IDC is a fantastic seller with great customer service in gta. I wish i purchased from them but i purchased from a different vendor and the service is certainly lacking.

P.S How are you finding the shots while grinding with your rocky?

IDC gas been great!

The Rocky is doing a great job! I'm liking it a lot so far. I'm sure down the road I'll end up with a stepless grinder to refine my espresso even more but for now I'm having a great time with the Rocky!

Good to hear, your next upgrade should be a grinder for sure as it will change the espresso leaps and bounds.

I love it as i don't have to do wdt and the grinds are consistent. Its a bit loud but takes about 10-13 seconds to grind 18gms. I grind, level, and tamp and i am done.
