Thanks for the tips. The space I have in mine is 120cm but can be extended to 180 with a bit of selling to the wife. The Musica is one of the machines I am looking into so it's nice to see what kind of space it needs.

180cm is 6 feet, if you can have that it will be awesome and it will allow you to grow and add gear without worrying about space. Regarding the Musica, my recommendation is don't buy it new unless it's a killer deal (like $700 off). If you can find a used one, it can be an excellent value.

I've been in Italy for almost three weeks, and for the last week and a half the coffee shop across the street of my apartment has been on "holiday hours" meaning they don't open until 2pm, leaving me to my own devices for espresso in the morning. I picked up some caffe motta from the grocery store and been pulling it pretty well with the Forge:
Also, I couldn't resist my kitschy souvenir, so I picked up this "leaning" espresso tazzina from Pisa.

Although I wanted to share a pic of my setup, I also wanted to particularly encourage folks who are tired of dealing with the Duetto's water reservoir to outboard their reservoir using the plumbed-in system. I've purchased a slim small plastic jug off amazon that I really like because it's plenty for a few days of use and its super easy to refill. No more pulling off the metal cover or pulling the machine out to refill. Also, I can easily see the water level.

I'm interested in learning more about your water setup. I have the Lucca M58 but I'd imagine it's the same idea.atao wrote:Although I wanted to share a pic of my setup, I also wanted to particularly encourage folks who are tired of dealing with the Duetto's water reservoir to outboard their reservoir using the plumbed-in system. I'm confused, are you just using the hose from the inner reservoir and running that to an external reservoir? Or are you "plumbing it in" to that reservoir?

@cerone, yes I'm literally dropping the plumb-in line (which comes with the Duetto) into the top opening of a plastic jug. I haven't noticed any corrosion or ill effects. I also wasn't worried about pulling water from this outboard source because it's almost at the same height as he original internal reservoir.
