Very Nice! Having the dealer install the flow control so you were ready to go when it arrived was a great idea. If you haven't seen them already, a good way to get going quickly - check out these two videos. Normalising Grind and profiling 0 learning. Although not a MaraX, the principle is exactly the same.dreadnatty08 wrote:MaraX finally arrived today! 1st Line installed the flow control for me. Gonna be some serious learning with this thing. First few shots were all over the place.
Krups, then Silvia, then Livia 90, then a Techno! Does it ever end? [sigh]

I love this setup! Looks so sharp. I was seriously looking hard at the E1P, and it looks like more functionality will be introduced over time via SW a la Tesla. Looking forward to seeing how users like it.
Enjoy your tinkering and tasting!

I'm loving it so far! The E37T has been amazing too. If you are curious about the Prima I have a thread going and the good bad and ugly about the machinerktcyntst wrote: I love this setup! Alright, I think I'm at a point where I wont buy new machines for a while.
Last time I posted in this thread I had a learner machine, Saeco Via Venezia and Baratza Encore (post #2203). Then I got into levers and now I'm back with a pump machine. In fact, I bought Mike's (rktcyntst) La Spaz Vivaldi S1 in December and have been enjoying it. Made a few changes to it over the break.
I also got a Niche Zero in late January. First electric grinder in over 5 years as I've been dutifully hand-grinding on a Pharos+Lido.

Thanks, Jorge! You've got quite the selection there. And the Niche?!?! Seems all you need now is a coffee tree and a sample roaster, and you've got the bases covered!beer&mathematics wrote:Alright, I think I'm at a point where I wont buy new machines for a while.

Spro pulling party at your place! Levers are an unchartered territory for me... maybe in the future!
WOW!!! Loving the white panels! It's such a clean look! Glad to see that the gauge cleared up !! I hope she's continuing to power through for you, that thing is a tank!

Is there any significance to the bare feet, cup and pumpkin?
What is the manual machine on the left of the Lido in the last pic?
I am jealous, BTW!
