I am growing tired of losing these little rubber feet for the drip tray at $7/each. I had reached the point where I specifically don't take the grate off the drip tray when I'm rinsing it so they don't come off and get lost. This morning I saw the cleaning lady helped me out by taking the drip tray apart and wiping everything down.

So, this time I installed them with a blob of silicone adhesive inside each one. It is white but dries clear. Hopefully it will give just enough adhesion to keep them from coming off and getting lost down a drain.

Drew wrote:Just a quick update, 1st Line is shipping new part. They do stock this part: Lelit 2200095L1 E61 Group Cap LPC. Just on Thursday this part on 1st-Line Equipment website was $9.99. I just looked now is $69.95, What could have caused that change? Wow!
That just doesn't sound right.. but if he is the only supplier in the U.S. who sells the part, that's why it happened.

Did you ever order the part and did it fix the problem?

Bianca v3 users...I am now bummed. I discussed purchasing a Bianca v3 from a highly respected espresso machine retailer yesterday. I was all set to move forward when I mentioned one of the reasons I was ready to pull the trigger was the quicker warm up time of the v3. That's when the sales guy stopped me in my tracks. He said the v3 110v machines do not warm up any quicker than the v1 or v2 machines. He said to avoid sour shots the machine needs 20-25 minutes. That's too long for me. A warm up time around 15 minutes works best for my routine. Need some help here to determine if he is correct about this. I was under the impression that time to first shot was more like 15-16 minutes. Yes/No?

Put the machine on a timer, that's what I do with my V2, cheap solution.

Something like this:

Thanks Andy. I've certainly considered that. I have a smart switch (Kasa) I use on a piece of equipment already. That works fine in the morning, but afternoon coffee and tea with the wifey is dependent on her. Sometimes it's 3, sometimes 3:30, 4:00...Her tea routine takes no time, making a flat white takes loonger.

1st Line has shipped group cap, part# 2200095L1. Greased it, installed it, like new again. Strongly recommend greasing paddle (needle) thread.

Has anyone experienced a whistling/humming/resonating/not sure what to call it noise when using the electronic low flow mode on the V3?
Starts at around 4s and goes away when it goes to full flow at 14s. The recording somewhat normalises it, the noise is pretty loud.

I cannot reproduce it without electronic low flow mode and just restricting flow with the paddle. When the noise starts; I can stop it by quickly closing and opening the paddle.

Machine is about 5 months old. Started after I did my weekly shower screen / gasket removal and clean. Just coincidence though I think, seeing as it makes that noise without any shower screen as well.

Any ideas?

Ok i know this has been reported by others, but I couldnt find a resolution anywhere.

I just got my Bianca on friday and im noticing mysterious ferrous particles (they were attracted to a magnet) in the water from the HWW. There werent a ton, but they were there.

I drained off a bunch of water from the HWW yesterday and these are still present today. Im currently using rpavlis water.

Does anyone have any up to date info on this or should i contact the merchant?

Hi!

Some notes of my small 2 weeks experience:
- I get soggy pucks, with both 14-18 and 18-21 baskets on light roasts with 18gr doses.
- I get really low extraction on the puck edges (really dark compared to the rest of the push) with the default baskets (I think because the basket funnels)
- My machine gets up to 11.5 bar pressure at group head, I'm considering lower it to 9.5/10 bar
- Temp wise I'm tempted to apply these changes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76OEFhdu6DE

Does anyone sees the same and, any tip?

Thanks

I'm calling out previous BDB owners that have made the switch to the Bianca. I'm close to making this "upgrade" (by upgrade I mean mostly quality of equipment, not necessarily functionality the way I see it). Do you have any regrets, happy, more than happy...???

I'm seven years with the BDB, changed most internals at least once, love its functionality specifically Slayer modded. It's hard to make this move...

Help me spend 3K on a new toy!

Dan...move this to Buying Advice if more appropriate.
