What will happen if the pipe is shorter than the original one? Will less liquid come out?

Shortening the pipe will impact thermal stability, because the water would be flowing from further away from the heating element, and may in fact not flow past the heating element at all if it is very short. I have a spare pipe which I scavenged from a Saeco Aroma boiler; it should fit. It is 51mm long, including the threads. I would be happy to send it to you for the price of postage if you still need one.
