You can pour the Poland water out of the reservoir before cleaning, and pour the Poland water back in after cleaning.

If you have biofilm in a Micra reservoir after two weeks, then I don't think that is normal. You might want to use a little Star San after your wash for a while.

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll monitor more closely and make sure I'm not over analyzing things. I'm a bit of a clean freak when it comes to my coffee gear.

BTW, for Star San, I'd say just get the smallest size available. I bought a larger size because the cost/ml was so much lower, but now I have a sufficient supply for, I suspect, several hundred years .

Ordered Black Micra on February 6th. Scheduled to ship tomorrow from Indiana and arrive April 10th which will be 9 weeks. One week over the original 6-8 week lead time, but I am happy to join the Micra club soon.

Has anyone measured the Micra's gm/sec flow rate with the portafilter removed. I'm curious what the base flow rate is. Thanks.

A few of us have. I measured right around 7g/s.
