Good point. I'm good though, I'm in Canada.

I have a Micra on order. My current machine is a Synchronika with flow control.

I'm wondering if any of you who have a Micra and previously used one with flow control miss having this ability? Just curious.

Is it possible to pull out the water reservoir far enough with disconnecting the tube so that I can fill the reservoir easily with something like a pitcher?
I am used to having a plumbed in machine and one of the La Marzocco reps is saying that a plumb kit may not be available for another year or so which may be a deal breaker for me.

I think you meant to type out "without," but yes you can pull it out far enough. That's how I fill up my machine using the Poland spring 1 gallon jugs.

Thanks AndroidBoy that's helpful to know. And just to be clear do you have to remove that connected tube in order to pull the tank out?

Yes, to remove the tank from the machine you have to yank that tube out. The tube/fitting is stuck in place pretty well and requires some effort/wiggling to remove. I wouldn't remove the reservoir unless I was servicing the machine, say, every quarter. Note that the reservoir is entirely under the machine's mechanics so it never gets hot so there is not the need to wash and sterilize the reservoir weekly like in other machines.

I thought you had to clean every week according to the manual. That's good to know then.
Thanks

Oops, I shouldn't be disagreeing with the manual .

It certainly won't hurt to clean the reservoir weekly as the manual states.

Lol, I just don't want to waste the Poland spring if I don't want to, hoping you were right about it.

I would absolutely wash out the reservoir more than once every few months. I typically remove mine every 2 weeks to wash and rinse. There is minimal biofilm/slickness but it's certainly there and it makes me feel better when I know it's squeaky clean.
