I'm disassembling my synchronika for repairs and figure I'd like to possibly descale the steam boiler. I'm replacing the brew boiler due to a hairline crack so that'll be nice and clean so I figure may as well clean the steam boiler if needed. Anyone know the proper way to descale a boiler and its heating element that has been removed from the machine? There's evidence of scale in the e61 group head and I got this machine second hand. Can I use citric acid and can I also clean the group head with the same solution as the boiler?
Thx

Had the same problem with profitec pro 700 (leaking brew boiler). I descale the steam boiler with Urnex dezcal. Do the copper pipe, the e61 group at the same time.
