Marshall,
You'll absolutely love the machine. I find the drip tray an excellent way of knowing when you need to fill the reservoir. every other day is a good guess.
I've been very happy with my purchase and even after having the machine a few months, feel just as happy using and looking at it as day 1. Maybe even more so as I can control it more today. I recently acid etched this keepcup bc I'm so into the brand.

Agree with smite, will depend on how you pull your shots. If you go straight to 9 bar every time without pre-infusion you won't need to empty the drip tray very often. Maybe once a week only to keep anything from growing. I empty mine every time I need to fill the reservoir. It's pretty large so that helps. Enjoy your new GS3!!smite wrote:Hi Marshall,
The machine is brilliant by the way. In my experience with 2-4 doubles a day, I would say depending on the way you pull shots you may want to plan on dumping it out every other day at the longest. For example if you pull shots with super long pre infusion using a lower pressure for a longer time will result in a larger amounts of water dumping into the drip tray vs a short preinfusion and pulling the shots mostly at full pressure.

It will depend a lot as well on how frequently you flush/purge, how long your purges are, and as well how often you brush you shower screen and how much water you let run during that process

Good thought. I use my Espazzola after every shot, and it creates backpressure.
