My HX started similar behavior to Randy after about 3 years. Pump replaced.
The DD did it after 3 years a couple of times during a heat wave when the wall voltage was too low. Been fine for months

OK, thanks guys. Maybe it'll work tomorrow. Otherwise, I'm thinking I'll call 1st Line and I'm ready to get a new pump.

Update: I drive 100 mi. each day for work and had no time to troubleshoot when the latest problem began. My husband finally got to look at it today and found out the water level sensor wasn't working. So, no water = no pressure. I wish I had time to look at it before today...no espresso for four days.

What you say is true but in addition, no water = no pressure = no nutin. When the water level switch in the Vibiemme Super "acts up", the entire machine shuts down. See here:
