My ECM Classika has a PID display that is has suddenly faded in the middle. While it seems to be only aesthetic, it gives the appearance of a "dead tooth" when idling during the day. The part doesnt seem expensive, and Id like to get it repaired, but Id like to know if anyone has a Maryland espresso repair shop they like. While google reviews are nice, Id prefer to see who people on this forum like. Im on the MD/PA border, so its easy to get DC, or over to Baltimore.

I would think the display was pretty much plug and play. Order a new display and plug it in. Did you open the machine and follow the cable from the display to the controller?

I haven't used them, but had these folks in Baltimore bookmarked for future reference:

I talked briefly to the original shop I bought it from, and they think the issue has to have a cause, possibly a small leak. Im taking it apart this weekend to check if there are any leaks and can look more at the controller/display then.
