I have owned my La Marzocco Linea Mini for about 3 years now and yet to have it serviced. I think it's about due time for servicing so I contacted a place near me and they are quoting me $225/hr plus parts and a travel fee of $150. I also bought a new shower screen and gasket so at least I don't need to buy those.

Curious if this is a good rate for getting the machine serviced? Also, how often do you all service your machine?

At those prices I'd wait till something really became defective before servicing - if you're using non-scaling good quality water!

Have you considered having it properly boxed/crated, insured & shipped to Chris' Coffee Service in Albany?

just had my machine serviced by chris coffee. their prices were ok for me because i have nothing local. cost me $200 to ship w/o insurance. i shipped to them in original boxing i got when i ordered the machine from them 7 years ago. i didn't insure because ups said they had to unpack the machine & take photos in order to insure.
