Hey. After I emptied my steam boiler (turning off the machine and turning on my hot water switch) I forgot to switch my hot water lever to off. I turned on my machine with the hot water lever open. Im wondering, have this done any damage to my ecm synchronika?

I would say "No". The Synchronika is smart enough to turn off the element when it sees the boiler needs water.

When I started up the machine (with the lever on) it started as normal. Water didn't flow out of the tap. And I do believe to remember the water from the tank decreased. Does that mean it filled the boiler?

Also how would I know and tell if anything has been damaged?

Does it still work as before? If it does, you almost certainly did no damage.

I flooded my kitchen once b/c the hot water valve was opened when the machine was off. Machine kicked on at 6am, heard water at 8 or 9.

I blamed my cat.

One definite advantage of rotary valves vs joysticks.

Welcome to HB Richard

Hot water won't flow out of the hot water spigot till there's enough steam pressure to push it out of the bottom of the steam boiler 'up-hill' to the spigot.

If the controller is working fine, you did no damage.
You can prove this by having an Americano.
