Heh Heh, I'll thank you now, if the li'l doodad works. I've heard, or seen, that some wemo have problems relating to overheating? My machine is on a line conditioner, and uses 1800W -- is this wemo rated for that? No issues regarding heat buildup, or is UL-rated?

Thanks for the suggestion.

Being able to store different coffees in the freezer and make what I'm feeling like, or keep bright single origins for me and comfort flavors for my wife is a game changer.

A good grinder that is made for this workflow will make you less interested in your equipment and more interested in the coffee beans again. I find the traits that are most important to this process is being able to adjust with consistency. With my older grinders, I could write down the grind setting and come back to it and it still needed a minor tweak here or there to dial back in. With a monolith conical I can write down a setting, come back to that coffee weeks later straight from the freezer and it's perfectly dialed in as I had it before.
Thank you

Commerical grade grinders will vary also in how much ground coffee they retain when you switch between beans. Others, like the Sette 270 can do either well, have low retention, but it is not a heavy duty commercial grade machine.
Thanks !

Swapping beans can be a PITA, but it's certainly doable. I bought the smaller hopper, and it works great for me. The grind adjustment is continuous (not stepped), and gets a lot of play around here, as I'm not very good at dialing in a dose - I waste a lotta coffee that way LOL . . . I don't think you can go wrong with the Ceado.

I've got no experience with the K60, sorry. Someone else will pipe up before too long.
Ok turns out I'll go towards the Ceado because I wanna train at home and then going to propose my services as a barista soon enought
So I need the workhorse that it is :)
Thanks again for your help

I asked this to ecm. They dont recommend it

Thank you for your email of 9th November and please apologize the late response. Business is going crazy at the moment since Christmas season started for us.

We are glad that you have decided to have a Synchronika.

We do not recommend having the machine switched on 24/7 as it is a technical device which must not be switched on unattendedly. The longer the machine is switched on, the higher your power consumption.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need more information.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards,

Whole Latte Love recommends this for prosumer machines. Not sure about how you have yours plugged in though.

Thank me later. You can do anything you'd ever want from a timer standpoint with this switch and the app (auto off, turn on at different times throughout the week, turn on via the app when you know you are on your way home for a random drink, etc).
I purchased this one. Same idea, but I prefer the plugs on the end rather than the front:

I made a little youtube review of it here:

Regarding the smart outlet/plugs, make sure you get one that doesn't default to turning back on after a power outage (or even a brown out). A lot of smart devices behaves this way (i.e. my smart lights all turn on after power has been restored).

After some researching, I ended up with this (https://www.amazon.com/iDevices-Switch- ... s=idevices). Nice bonus is that it does show the power usage on their app.

I tested it just to confirm that it remains in the last power state in the event of a power outage. While I don't have a power outage issue, maybe once or twice a year during a bad storm or if the power company is working on something. It's nice to know that the espresso machine doesn't come on by itself while I'm not home.

The one I reviewed in the video above defaults to whatever state it was in before the power outage. My personal preference would be to default to off, but none of them seem to do that. However, that could easily be changed later by the manufacturer with a firmware update.

The Wemo defaults to off. Happened 2 days ago and I had to manually cut it back on.
