Mine spin loose just from normal use. I check them every few days and retighten. I have to say, I really like the joy stick and portafilter handle design.

Thats great news and thanks my man!!. Ya I'm going to go with Olivewood, there was some nice ones on Etsy, really grainy, sharp looking, with the synchronika stainless still on the ends.

I just got my Synchronika a couple weeks a go, find myself drinking coffee all day...Lol, just love the machine with flow control, lots of fun!!

I have an upcoming holiday vacation in a few weeks. Will be away from home for about 10 days. Do any of you do anything special for non-usage for that amount of time? Like, empty the water tank, or anything like that? I was just going to unplug it and throw the dust cover over it. Anything else I should consider?

That's plenty for 10 days.

It's when storing for months or longer that you want to consider draining the machine and blowing the plumbing dry so that it can't develop weird deposits. 10 days is nothing.

If you grab the joystick shaft with a narrow-jaw pliers, you can tighten the knob so that it stays put. Just tightening it without doing this, the shaft rotates before the knob is sufficiently tight. Since I did this, I've not had to tighten the knobs; before that, I got in the habit of giving them a regular clockwise twist, as they were always coming loose.

Thanks for the tip. Much appreciated.
