Hi, I am a new member of this barista family. After a lot of online digging, I recently bought the beautiful ECM Puristika. It's my first real espresso machine. I have been using Nespresso for the last 4 years. Looking forward to improving my barista skills. So far, I am surprisingly satisfied compared to Nespresso quality.

Congratulations and Happy New Year! What a beauty. Let us know more as you get familiar with its use. Nobody in the US is selling it yet.

Thanks guys. It does look stunning. I must say that warm up time is quick as well, its around 5 min to reach boiler temp at 93C and brewhead takes another 4-5 min to warmup. If I remember to let the water run while boiler is heating up then group head heats up even quicker.

Have you actually measured the brew water with a SCACE or equiv. ? I don't know any E61 that can be heated up that fast.

Nice. How did you setup your water reservoir? How are you steaming milk?

I received mine in November already and have been enjoying it very much.

Except for wooden handles, I upgraded everything I could. :D
  • ECM Bottomless Portafilter
  • Coffee Sensor Flow Control Kit
  • Coffee Sensor Temperature Sensor
  • IMS WM 35 Shower Screen
  • Pullman 876 Baskets
  • Normcore Puckscreen
The only thing that has been a downside, is that there is a general technical flaw where air gets into the system and group head doesn't get heated up, until you activate the pump. If you start the machine with a smart plug, sometimes the group head is cold, even after 30-60'. Then you need to pull the lever, water starts to flow and then it will heat up.
It has already been addressed with ECM and they're already working on a solution to get it fixed. This has been a topic in another forum already.
