Has anyone had to pay import duties or taxes for a Decent Espresso machine shipped to the USA? If so, how much and to whom?

None. The price shown when you order is what you pay.

I can echo Shenrei that there are no import taxes. They price the machine at a lower amount, and the software it runs on at a high amount since without the software the machine wouldn't work and that is what makes it unique. The only thing I would recommend is use a credit card that doesn't charge for purchases out of country.

Randy check with them for clarity. If you add a machine to cart you will also see -
HK Post - Air Parcel XP delivers within 34 days:
+ Shipping cost: $201.77
+ Tax for United States: $0.00
= $201.77

But make sure that zero is there view of sales tax and duties. They usually respond fairly quickly.

WHY. Look at the cart page and scroll down.

Yes, Michael. It is that same screen capture that prompted me to start this thread. Just trying to have an accurate (or nearly so) estimate of the bottom line before ordering.

What did you pay for shipping for 2 day delivery?

It was the cheapest option like 200+ I think? I belive it was UPS Saver but will update if I see otherwise when I check. However, they were in incredibly fast. It was like one day to Alaska, and then it arrived in Alaska at night here in South Carolina, it was before 10am I believe it was delivered. UPS really hit it out the ballpark.

Luckily there was a protective suitcase around your machine when they hit it!
