Wait till you see the steam control for this machine.

Hi Folks,

Thanks all for the kind words.

As you can see, there is going to be re-thinking things as I go along.

projects like this are often an iterative process that often involves spending a fair amount of time putting something together in as originally conceived on paper; then standing back and saying to myself "I have seen monkeys in clowns suits that look better" and then ripping it apart to fix the asthetic.

It will get there...it just won't be a straight path.

Cheers,
Sean

p.s.
I first heard about Monkeys in clown suits when Abe Carmeli commented on the "beauty" of the Brewtus.

Good evening.

in a bit of a rush tonight but thought I would post the latest.

the valves for the Fill and hot water tap are in.

although it looks tight, the fill assembly swings to service position for access to all boiler ports and the heating element.

I also included a shot of the "out" side of the boilers including the expansion valve underneath.

I will comment more later this evening

Thanks for posting!

These fabulous pictures are more detailed than any I've had the pleasure of reviewing about the hydraulics of the Synesso line. Can anyone direct me to similar ones of a Synesso for comparison?

The other question I have is: why are there two solenoids for the intake side?

EDIT: I tried to answer my own question. Is this what the machine looked like before?

It appears one solenoid directs water to brew tank, other to steam tank?

Hi,
the following Photo is of the inlet side of a current 2 group Synesso from the 2011 technical manual.
it is available online. just search for Synesso technical manual.

here is my machine, same function, different layout. (older tanks)

The Solenoid valves in the machine have the following functions;
cold water feed to the steam boiler
cold water feed to the water tap tempering valve
hot water feed to the water tap tempering valve
3 way valve for brew.

that makes a total of 4 valves.

i will post an illustrated view of thewater circuit in my machine tomorrow(sat)
keep in mind that the hydraulics of my machine are the same as a stock machine but the layout is completely different.

Cheers,
sean

Hi,
With the exception of the stainless manifold to feed 2 heat exchanger coils in the steam boiler, Yes, that is what my machine looked like.

There is no solenoid for the brew tank, the pump feeds it directly thru a check valve.

I have retained that same configuration.
the check valve for the brew boiler is right behind the steam boiler check valve.

Thanks,
Sean

The way your doing the tubing runs, spending time thinking about how each one should travel and where.. Not only is it superbly done, it reminds me exactly about how I am when Im doing a new PC build. Putting the new parts together in the case takes maybe 30minutes if I take my time.. Sleeving all the wires and running all the water cooling tubing takes me hours if not days to get the runs how I want them.

This is very cool too see. Excited to see more!
