I'm actually using the black plastic tamper that came with the machine still. I don't mind the feel of it, and it gets the job done, but I have been researching new ones. It looks like Barista Hustle and Cafelat both make tampers sized for the VST baskets (58.4-58.5mm) for under $60. The more famous companies like Pullman and Reg Barber can charge $100-$200.
It seems like it mostly comes down to aesthetics, unless you're working at a shop makes 100s of drinks a day, then it would become a necessity to have a comfortable tamper. I think the one that comes with the CC1 is a nice step up from some of the other machines, though it was probably designed to be replaced at some point.

Perfect. Thank you. Then I will just keep using the one that came with it. You have been a big help. I really appreciate it.
