Buying grouphead for homemade espresso machine

Need help with equipment usage or want to share your latest discovery?

So I wanted to build a home made semiautomatic espresso machine (not a lever one) just for fun. I can find all kind of parts and its generally no problem to buy them.

However, I just cannot find where to buy a standalone grouphead other than the E61. Surely there must be other standalone options aside from the E61! Could any of you guys point me in the right direction? I would simply like to see what are my options, but I cannot find a retailer!

Which one do you want? For that matter what are the options?

Conti Club, Pasquini Livia, maximatic, Gaggia Classic come to mind (one's I have seen). Astoria use non E61, too. How about Crossland machine group or a LM Linea group etc.

Thanks Chert,

From your reply I was able to find this place:

They have some interesting options to explore, well detailed info and even list their prices! :)

Which one do you want. I can see if my contacts in Italy can get them.

Hey guys,

Thanks again for all the help.

At the end I ended going for the E61 (all the fuss for nothing). I found it for 110 Euro from an italian reseller and from an italian manufacturer. It was the last one and now they are out of stock. ... 33000.html

At that price it was simply a no-brainer :) based on the little I know.

I also found this chinese manufacturer, but they had no interest on selling me just 1 unit. They have pretty neat boilers tho, but they stopped replying me when I said I wanted to buy only 1.

I am in search for a 1L boiler, I can find lots of big boilers (10L ish), but the smaller boilers are a bit tougher to find. Going to visit a local coffee repair shop today and see what I can scavange :)

I am China at the moment. All the smaller stuff like valve,s hoses, electric stuff is super easy to find and well priced. The grouphead and the bolier are quite challenging to get.

You have any contacts in China?
