The idea behind this post is to develop a listing (not necessarily a rating) of sites which offer subject adaptors and flexible hose. For espresso machine use, the fitting or adaptor should be either brass or stainless steel. Plated steel will eventually corrode and should not be used.

Additions to this list are welcome "with open arms" and will be added to this first post.

McMaster-Carr carries a selection of BSPP and BSPT fittings and adapters:

Also Stefano's Espresso Care. Stefano's page provides a very clear explanation of sizing.

I have always found the fittings and adapters that I needed from Parker.

Since there is one near my house and they do not have a minimum order, it is convenient.
There are distributors just about everywhere.

Great resource, Eric. McMaster-Carr also has some things a bit oddly categorized. http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-stain ... -fittings/ has BSPP-to-NPT adapters in stainless steel. Note that because of the way their site is coded, you will have to click on Adapters and then on the type you want from the linked page, to get to the ones I'm talking about.

Best,
David

In most cases, these items could be bought locally through distributors. Look for listings headed under pneumatics and hydraulics. Adapters should be stocked items. Hose might even be cut and crimped to order. That includes o-rings and seals. You would probably be surprised what you can get locally. But thanks for the links as it's always good to have multiple sources to choose from!

Awhile back I tried to find BSPP and metric fittings. No luck anywhere, even a local espresso machine/roaster dealer. Maybe it's different in Florida. Not so here on the edge of California's Silicon Valley unless someone can name a source I didn't find.

Well I have to say I'm speaking from a point of working for a company that is in industrial distribution and these types of products are within the lines we sell. Here are 2 sources that have a wide coverage of product. If you call either one they can tell you where to purchase from, if not directly. These are just two.

Maybe this will help...
