Bummer - mine will not budge at all. Are you aware of any videos that show this?

Edit - nevermind I got it. Thank you

Glad you got it. The first time I had to remove mine it was really on there and I was worried I was going to rip the wire out. Took me coming back to it to finally get it loose.

Hi all. I'm currently having an issue with my Sage DB. I initially had leaking under the machine and an ever increasing temperature which climbs well above the set point. I've already used the excellent resources on here to stop 4(!) leaking connections with new 007 O-rings. Despite this, the temperature still climbs and makes the machine unusable. I've left the lid off and tried to extensively dry the electronics above boiler but no luck. I assume the board is damaged but not sure how to confirm or fix this. Is this the likely cause or are there any other suggestions? Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance!

Did you replace the o-ring on the water connection going into the side of the steam boiler? It's on the side near the solenoid and is not very obvious unless your looking for it, but it's very prone to leaking as the o-ring deteriorates

Thanks for that. I didn't replace that one actually and it looks like it could be a little more problematic to do so. What is the best way of accessing?

You will want to pick up a set of long, angled nose hemostats. They will be helpful for any o-ring in the machine, but are absolutely critical for the one on the side of the boiler. If you need to, you can remove any tubes/wires in that area to make it easier, but with the hemostats it's not absolutely necessary to do so.

The hemostats make it much easier to remove and replace the hairpin clips without dropping them into the bowels of the machine. After replacing the o-ring on the tube end, dab a small amount of Dow Molykote 111 or any food safe lube you like on the o-ring and using the jaw ends of the hemostat, push the tube into the socket until it is fully seated. The, also using the hemostats, replace the hairpin clip.

Here's a nice set of Hemostats that have everything you might need, ever.

Great! Thanks for the help both. I'll report back once I've looked at this connection point too. I'll continue with my Robot/Nanofoamer combo for now!

I was watching season 6 of Better Call Saul and noticed that Howard is using a Breville Dual Boiler in one episode (can't remember which episode). goes through his entire workflow pulling a shot and steaming milk for a latte and latte art. Somehow I doubt seriously that this guy, Howard, who is an ultra set-up partner in a law firm would be using a BDB for his latte art drinks! Just thought I'd mention it ....
Runners, yeah we're different.
