I just got a replacement from Breville (it came in the box with all the accessories, looks like new). When I am putting the fortafilter on and fully tightening it, it makes a strange sound that I recorded. Can someone help me determine if that's just from the gasket being tight or is that something moving inside the machine that should not? It sounds like some part moves inside but I could be wrong. I still have the old machine which doesn't make this sound and when I put that old gasket in the new machine, it still makes this sound making me believe that something is loose inside the new/replacement machine. Anyone with the same machine that's new and hears something similar?

When I owned that machine it didn't make that sound but then again I didn't move the portafilter like you are doing.
My bet is there is nothing wrong with your machine and if it's making good coffee I would not worry about it
