Does anyone else have this kit and using it on a Rancilio Silvia? Can anyone provide an opinion as to this vs Auber?

Those easy-kits mentioned above are discontinued. The successor is ito. Credit-card-sized module with microcontrollers, solid state relays, wifi and on-board power supply. The firmware (leva!) does dual-channel PID control, pressure profiling (absolute pressure profiling with pressure sensor and feedback loop - that's pretty unique), flow rate control, dosing, energy saving, warm-up etc.

Slightly outdated English presentation: https://www.thuisbarista.nl/forum/viewt ... f=3&t=5484

Some sales pitch from a German forum: https://www.kaffee-netz.de/threads/ito- ... feb.104710 (Google Translate doesn't really make any sense of this)

Hardware: http://www.softwareandcircuits.com/divi ... index.html

ito is only distributed in the EU.

It looks like ito is ready for the international market. Great, we're gonna see more and more aftermarket computerized espresso machines.
Very helpful the presentation from the thuisbarista.nl forum.
The cheapest working kit would cost at least 120€, without the recommended flow meter. But it is really worth to add the flow meter for a very precise temperature control, therefore the starting price would be 131.5€.
If the kit works as advertised, one can transform an entry level machine into a highly competitive one for a very decent price.
I would mention a couple of downsides as well:
- not sure if the kit installation is accessible to the common home barista, considering the required extra technical skills.
- the production is scheduled in batches, first batch fully pre-ordered on the first day (Dec. 9), delivery in February, next pre-orders in March, I guess.
- I was not able to find much user feedback or any demo videos either on easy kits or ito.

It's not known internationally at all but there's an easy-kit thread with 1200+ comments in a German coffee forum at http://www.kaffee-netz.de/threads/vom-e ... 31/page-62 (ito is too new to have such feedback but you can see where it comes from).

In case anybody is interested on ito, a new batch is available for orders today. According to previous ito sales, a batch gets sold out in a single day.
A minimal configuration here.
Other common configurations are described on the English presentation mentioned on an above post.

Disclaimer - I am not related or working with the seller. I am just a big fan of the computer driven espresso machines and I am using a similar product from a different seller. The potential market is huge and there is place for even more sellers.
