These so-called blood type diets are completely unsupported by science (to say the least..).

Do you drink your coffee with a dairy type product? If so, are you possibly lactose intolerant?

Also, it's been said that coffee made with robusta tends to upset stomachs more often, that and it's higher in caffeine so that makes it worse. Trying to compare caffeine content of soda to coffee is not useful. Per ounce soda has way less caffeine typically.
I drink two shots before I drink two shots, then I drink two more....

Could not agree with you more here RyanJE. I had some friends and they are Lactose Intolerant. Every time they consume milk products they tend to easy getting diarrhea. Because their body lack of those enzymes to digest the lactose. Anyway Thank you for reminding me this :D

I thought this was an interesting study showing how some aspects of ideas are not necessarily bad despite an erroneous justification. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3893150/

No, I usually don't drink my coffee with dairy product.
The anxiety thing usually happens when I order espresso or latte at coffee shops (but then again, I usually go to one coffee shop, & that places uses Molinari).

@RyanJE , so robusta (every type of it) is worse than Arabica?

Yesterday, I decided to buy a new coffee brand & see what happens.
But I didn't because I didn't have enough info to choose one...

●I was stuck between ;

Jacobs Kronung
Illy
(Maybe Starbucks Verona or Veranda)
& Lavazza (Crema Gusto)

Ppl say it's a matter of personal taste so I'm going to explain what I want later.

I wanted to get the last one (Lavazza CG), cuz it's probably creamy and nice, but then I saw that it's Arabica+Robusta so, I decided to think about it more.

So, do you (or other visitors) know about any of those brands? Which one is better?

■Now, good coffee for me is ;

Not sour/fruity/citrusy , strong/full body, not acidic but also not bitter or earthy , it should have a nutty or cacao-like after taste, it shouldn't upset my stomach, it shouldn't be plain liquidish (the body & creaminess is important)

Btw, I use drip coffee machine at home. So I want it to taste good by that method (& I prefer coarse ground beans or whole beans, as fine ground makes my coffee bitter which I hate)

Plus, I usually don't add anything to my coffee, so I want my coffee to be good as a breakfast coffee!

Plz let me know if any of those brands is close to what I said!
Thanks alot !!!

I would urge you to go and get yourself some high quality coffee. None of the ones you mention in your post above are what I would consider really high quality. They are bulk coffees. I can't point you into any specific direction, since I don't know where you live, but this forum has loads of info about good quality singe origin coffees and artesan roasters. Buy your coffees directly from the roaster (not from a supermarket). If there are no good artesan roasters near you, then there is always mail order.

And yes, stay far from robusta. It's caffeine content can be four times higher than arabica. At it usually is inferior quality.

Guys, I have a very weird question to ask!

I know that light roast coffee has more acidity & caffeine...

BUT...

I tried a light roasted (blonde) coffee from a local roaster, & made coffee with my drip coffee machine...I tried it but I got no symptoms! Nothing! My stomach was fine & I didn't get anxious at all. Everything went normal.

The only thing that I didn't like was body/color & taste.

It was so light & didn't have a strong taste! Hopefully it wasn't bitter or sour. Actually it's after taste was only a bit spicy, which wasn't that bad.
But the taste & color was not strong enough like normal coffee.

Now my question is, Why do I feel bad by drinking espresso & get coffee sensitivity symptoms,
But I feel ok & normal after drinking light/blonde roast coffee?

Could I be sensitive to roasting?

It's impossible to say if you are sensitive to darker roasts or not (but I doubt it). If you want to be sure you should get yourself different roasts of the very same bean. By picking two random beans with different roast levels is just like picking two random beans...

I would be so bold to make a guess that the dark roasts you have tried have been made from bulk coffee (not high quality) and the light roast was from better quality beans.

It's not that big a secret that some defects can easily be masked by simply roasting darker. With lighter roasts the defects would be a lot easier to spot. This is not to say that all darker roasts are low quality. You just have to know how to pick the good ones.
