I don't know if this seems helpful or interesting to anybody, but if there are any Blue Bottle subscribers, we could discuss what they're sending out weekly, recipes, etc...

Anyone else who is a subscriber, I'd love to hear people's takes on the service itself as well as their impressions and recipes for what they receive.

This week I was sent Burundi Kayanza Heza. I haven't gotten into it too much yet, but first reactions seems to be a mid-roast, but a really dense beans. The container I generally use to store my beans in can't usually hold an entire twelve ounce bag, but this week it held it all with room to spare.

First pulls were 16g at 94 C. About a 1.5 ratio, with 16g in an 22 out. First espresso was bright with mouth filling juiciness. Made my glands water and ask for another sip. Fruit and acidity seems greatly muted in a cappo, with a little cocoa as expected. Seemed boring with milk.
