I home roast - but I like seeing this list - just in case I ever splurge - I notice one local roaster! - Verve - a few miles from me. Nice.

A nice place to pick up beans in NY's Westchester County is Coffee Labs Roasters.

I'll vouch for CoffeeLabs... They're not too bad. Ive bought some of their single origin offerings from time to time, and they've all been good. I was actually just there on Friday... A nice little place, and the Baristas are always willing to chat it up about espresso and gear.

I also add Mocha Joes to the list. A local cafe serve's their coffee, both single origins and their espresso offerings. Their Dattera Reserve "Sweet Blue" espresso is pretty good... I often grab from the local cafe when I've mis-timed my orders, and Ive always been pleased.

And, Barrington Coffee Roasters. They usually have some SO espresso offerings, along with their blends. Ive been pleased with them as well.


There are so many great roasters out there.

Thanks Jason, that's a very nice list. I'll second Espresso Vivace and Klatch and I'd also add Caffe Fresco and Muddy Dog Roasting.

Nice list so far! I'll add The Atomic Cafe, one of my favorite New England roasters along with Terroir. They offer some nice S/O coffees as well as several espresso blends that I enjoy. Their version of Daterra Farm Reserve is a nice "comfort food" espresso but my favorite is their Espresso Intensi which makes a very tasty straight shot pulled on the cool side (15g/90C) & is also excellent in milk drinks. Reasonable Priority Mail shipping & a choice of 2 & 5lb bags along with the now standard 12oz bags.
