Have searched, but found nothing. Wondering how to identify a stinker bean.

Are they something that can be easily identified?

Unfortunately, the only way that I know of is when you spit out your coffee, retching and gagging. Stinker beans generally don't show any visible defects. They're some insidious little buggers. One bean can ruin a very large brew.

Some types of stinkers can be seen by ultra-violet light, at least according to Illy: http://wiki.triestecoffeecluster.com/in ... cted_Beans
