We have been enjoying this one. I would say the notes are accurate. They describe blueberries and cherry cordials. My wife was shocked when I said smell the coffee, now smell the bag of chocolate dipped cherries. Which are pretty good btw!

I'm drinking this now, and as a pour over in a v60 it's probably the best coffee I've had in a long time, definitely the best natural!

BillBurrGrinder wrote:can anyone make some Ethiopian suggestions? I hear about a blueberry note a lot, would like to check out that varietal. I tried Kenya SL-28 recently and it was very unique and different...picked up on some plum and raisin when adding half steamed milk. Looking to experience what Ethiopians are all about.

Thanks!
Hey Chris,

Drinking Dragonfly Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Konga right now. The blueberry aroma hits you right away. They had a flash sale on it at the beginning of April for $10/12oz. It was a steal, wish I had purchased more. Also, I've found Counter Culture's Hologram to be blueberry forward most of the time and many Fresh Market stores carry CC coffee, so shipping would not be an issue.
Happy hunting!

Thanks Bob! I have 2 bags on order so I will need a week or 2 before ordering the dragonfly, did you brew it as espresso?

The 2 I ordered are Klatch Golden Bean (Ethiopian/Panama blend) and I also took a shot at Atomic Cosmopolitan (Central American/Caribbean blend) I am trying to order one for milk and one for straight shots now with each order. Can't wait to grab some more Vivace Dolce.

With milk, Klatch WBC has been bumped out of 1st place by George Howell Mamuto AB. This was unique and awesome stuff!

That's right... you know me...I'm a latte or flat white guy. Rarely straight espresso, so I speak from the flavor induced by 4 parts 2% steamed milk.

You are correct...I do know that

Have you tried any SL-28 for a flat white? I ask because the Mamuto AB by George Howell was great with milk. It was SL-28 and SL-34 , Very unique flavor like raisins or plums. My first Kenya experience and I'm hooked. didn't like it as much as a straight shot though, so perfect for you.

Thanks for suggesting, Michael. If you're you're looking for a berry note, our natural Ethiopian would be on the nose. Chelelektu is washed and presents more stone fruit - peachy.
