I roast my own coffee and my normal routine is to roast right up to first crack. I also almost exclusively drink espresso drinks. First drink of the day is an espresso I pull on top of hot water - It's how I like an Americano as I can still get a pretty clear idea of the espresso. My second and final drink of the day is a latte, really a flat white. Espresso on the bottom 6 ounces of steamed milk on top.
I have tried others, but I'm always driven back to Sweet Maria's as they offer a variety of espresso blends that I find it hard to beat.
What about you? Have you a favorite source for an espresso blend to roast?
