Caffe motta. Why so good?

hi everyone
Im used to red bird coffee, Metropolis coffee, and recently the Epic and old school espresso from 49th parallel.

well, i was in a italian supermarket and both some caffe motta beans.

with my oe pharos grinder and rancilio silvia.

the Crema is amazing, the taste is caramel and chocolate. it taste delicious. Almost as good as the 49th parallel or metropolis and probably better then red bird.

im very surprised!!! especially at the price the caffe motta is!
Anyone else have experience with cheap italian coffee espresso thats worth trying?

Not everything you read on HB is a universal truth, including to two weeks past roast date rule. If you search the coffees forum you'll find a few threads about Italian espresso roasts.

I came up short on brew weight with the last of my Ritual Kenya so I used a few grams of Kimbo Espresso Napoletano, it's giving this coffee a pleasant edge to it. Check out those other threads though, not sure that the Kimbo Espresso Napoletano was one of the highest rated of the Italian espresso blends, it's just what I had on hand at the time.
