USPS managed to send my latest order from Caffe Lusso to the east coast instead of my home in Salt Lake City. It caused only a few days delay. I sent an email to Sean & Phillip @ Caffe Lusso and they felt it was important to get me coffee within a couple of days of roast. Sean said he'd replace my order gratis - now that's great customer service. Thx, guys!

I've been a customer for years and have to say that this is not surprising. Great guys and great company!

I'd be interested on your thoughts on the La Minita, Tom. I bought that coffee for a couple of years. The prep is outstanding. Every bean in a clone of the others. But the taste left me wanting. I found I had to roast it very hard and hot to "activate" it. But that was a couple of years ago and I'd like to think I've learned a bit in that time. I should try it again. I buy a lot of coffee from the La Minita folks.

It's a marvel in the coffee world. I've always enjoyed it, even though in general, I've not gone crazy over Costa Rican (mild) coffees. World-class prep for sure.

For big La Minita fans, there's an incredible book about them that is a must read. I think I paid $3-4 on Amazon. I love used book shopping on Amazon.

It'll be interesting to see what Caffe Lusso has done with it. I'll share some thoughts once I've worked thru some of it. I imagine it'll be a pretty good SO espresso too.

They have a sun-dried version as well. Still washed, but then dried 7-10 days in the sun.

Their customer service is legit. Always willing to answer questions or send over gear. They have sent shorts over for a 5 lb order. So cool

That's great to here. I ordered from them for the first time just this morning. Any recipe recommendations for LionShare or Gran Miscela Carmo from a recent batch?

Here's their recco for both:
18gr in 30gr out in about 20-25 sec, although they say some prefer 30 sec.
202-205 F. grouphead, not less than 201F. or it can taste a bit grassy
