One can peruse this site for ideas:
https://www.arizonacoffee.com

List of shops. Nothing stands out for me that we haven't been too.

Prefer we stick closer to Mesa or Gilbert. I am likely to go to the Gilbert Riparian Preserve first so I could meet 1030ish. Anyone with an interest in birds or photography could meet me.

Suggest we plan on a lunch place - Tacos or pizza or Empanadas - actually better choices than coffee in this town.

I can vouch for this Empanada place - Republic. Not expensive and excellent.

Best I know for today.

In. Meet you there. Name a time. I could learn from you. Bought a book on birds of SE Arizona.

I have edited coffee meetup post above to 10.30am. Work for you John?

I had planned on it and was going to kick around ideas for lunch over coffee.

Dave and Michael have long been my close HB "friends" Dave, well over a decade and a half since joining HB, Michael, about half that time. Both have been extremely important to me over the years, even though we've never managed to meet in person. This is a meetup that I'd really like to attend if I could. I only have one daily driver that I'd take on a road trip and it's due to be repaired because of an accident,so my schedule is not predictable . I never work on Mondays, so it creates some opportunities, but we're all slaves to the schedule. If I can make it, I'll update this thread, but I'd really like to.

This would be quite a fun road trip!

I use the Cornell School of Ornithology app for ID - it's called Merlin.
I would say 8:30am subject to weather changes.
Let's find a lunch place in advance so we know our choices such as Republic. I will discuss with John who I will see tomorrow.

That would be cool or warm, but it's not warm yet. Not even going to hit 70 in the next 8 days where I live.
