Was a really cool event - props to La Marzocco!

Me and Dan watching the Uber boiler

Old LM

Yellow grinder is a new Marzocco volcano that has same internals as kony

This is a Strada that has paddle groups with a pressure gauge mounted on top:

The red Strada has the paddle changing the speed of the motor. Each group has its own motor and thus can run at independent pressures. Also this is the one that has the programmable pressure profiling

This is a single group gs3-like but can only make shots (no steam boiler) just a prototype:

The bicycle connected to a pump provides "Green" pressure profiling lol:

They also had great food and beer!

As you can tell - the drip coffee wasn't that exciting

Aslo met Aaron Ultimo from Ultimo Coffee there which was ironic since I saw him in his coffee shop in philly a few times

The Kony is the only large grinder in the Mazzer lineup that isn't Espresso Italiano certified. Anyone knows why?

Their blog says "You (industry professional) are invited to come to La Marzocco OUT OF THE BOX NYC Wednesday, June 9."

Are non-industry professionals invited to these events?

Thanks ilya for sharing photos! Looks like it was quite an event. I especially like the "green" pressure profiling.

I think I was the only home-barista there along with my dad and best friend
we had a great time and when we told others that we were home baristas they were impressed that we came to such an event.

There were a few GS3's to play with as well as the big stradas.

I also got to play with the uber boiler which was pretty cool

And they let you keep the "out of the box" cups you used to drink from :D

Yes, thanks for the photos! I see there's a new/different drip tray on the GS/3 looking machines. It appears to be the FB80/GB5 design. Here's hoping that these eventually become available to current GS/3 owners.
