I have a rough count of who's coming; but for food purposes, I'd appreciate an RSVP pm or email to find out who you're bringing.

Main course is Rioja braised short ribs with sofrito and gnocchi. All extras appreciated.

On the coffee front, I have some fun anaerobics, and (if it arrives on time) an Intelly Geisha.

On the gear front, Dan is bringing the Decent and the Max; and there's one surprise.

Wondering if that surprise might be related to the recent blog post here...

No matter what it is, I'm looking forward to it.

And, wow! It's only a week away! I should probably roast some coffee to bring with me!

Oh Hell, I would love to go to one of these Get Togethers -
I lived in the the North Side of Chicago for 14 years - In 1987 I bought an espresso machine and a blade grinder- without a clue about espresso - except that I liked it - when I visited Zabars espresso bar in NYC... This was before the internet - I left Chicago in 1997.

Meanwhile, The espresso machine I had bought back then was an Olympia Cremina! I had called Zabars and asked what they recommended - I think I Paid under $400 for my Cremina in November 1987. I also bought from Zabars a $25 burr grinder that broke in a week, hence next purchase was a Krups blade grinder - sturdy! I never new what that Cremina was capable of before I sold it about 19 years ago

I would have learned so much from these Get Togethers.

I'm bringing some sour dough bread made with some new heritage wheat flour I bought. Hope it turns out, never used the flour before. We'll see how it goes.

I am really looking forward to those three -- fruit bomb and oak aging flavors, what's not to love?
