Like every year, at my place in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago, on Saturday any time between between 10 and 6pm. I'll have a main lunch course, some appetizers, wine, and lots of coffees. Please bring anything interesting you want to share -- food, drink, coffees, good stories (don't know about tea).

There will be about ten to fifteen regulars. If you haven't been before and can come; please do, everyone is welcome.

Please PM me about food or drink restrictions, so I can have tasty alternatives rather than lame improvisations on hand.

The open dates are 7, 14, 21, 28 Oct or 4, 11 Nov.

If you are interested, please enter your available dates here.

I can make all the dates but I voted based on the availability of my lovely wife. I'm sure she can bring an apple pie again. I'm picking up bread flour today so I'll make more sourdough.

If you can come, and haven't put in your dates yet, please do. So far Oct 14 is looking best.

Mark your calendars: the date is Oct 14, 10 am to 6pm, come and leave any time.

I'll be doing a main course (red wine braise of short ribs or lamb shanks. Let me know which?), some appetizers, wine, and lots of coffees of course. Please bring extra dishes, coffees, drinks, and specialties as usual.

The educational coffee feature, for anyone interested, is whether resting makes light roasts better. So we'll have several one week old versus 3 and 4 week old coffees on hand to compare. Check it out for yourself if you're interested.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

PS: if you haven't posted on the doodle, and can come, please do. Also please let me know, so I can get a rough count. Thanks

I didn't respond to the doodle, partially because I'm pretty sure any of the dates worked for me. I plan to be there, and my wife is planning to attend this time as well. I'll be interested in educational coffee feature!

I'm equally interested in the main course options, my wife would vote for the beef over the lamb. We will also plan to bring a food item (TBD) to share.

As always, I can bring my decent if that is of interest. It's also possible that i will have a Kafatek Flat Max 2 in addition to my Flat Max (1) to bring. We'll see, I may try to sell one or or the other of those before then, and the max 2 isn't actually here yet.

Please bring the eithe Flat, that will be useful for the young versus old testing. If yu have room for the Decent, that would be good too. I have a George Howell Mamuto challenging you, whispering "I'm a to die for coffee you'll never get right as espresso."

Ah Shucks, I'd have been 'a regular' for sure, if I still lived in Rogers Park, such an easy location to reach. So much I could have learned.
