The better you control your variables, the more consistent your coffee, as the old saying goes. I find my V60 pours pretty inconsistent but have good luck with my Behmor BraZen, the new December Dripper, and my Presse / Impress brew mug for making repeatably good coffee.

I've recently brought out my old Clever Coffee Dripper from retirement for my new job since there's no good way to dispose of grounds not captured in a paper filter at my new job and have been happy so far with my brews, but I can probably improve them. I'm relying on brew methods at work that don't require a pouring kettle to keep things simple.

Of course, it may be that I'm just not that picky and that I also roast my own coffee so a lot of the quality in the cup comes down to how well I roasted it to begin with.

The Starbucks coffee in the coffee machine at work (and Peet's decaf) keeps me brewing my own. I could go down to the first floor and pay for some Blue Bottle, but I haven't resorted to that yet.
