Apologies for all of the recent posts. I did do a pretty extensive search before posting this one though, but couldn't find any older threads regarding coarse grind pour overs.

Even though I've been making horrible cups lately, a few times I've gone pretty coarse with the grind and the coffee has been much better. I have tried using a coarse grind with my normal recipes but I just get a very watered down brew, although it does have slightly more flavor than my normal cups.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows it of some good pour over recipes that use very poor coarse grinds, maybe just slightly more fine than French press.

I use the v60 and the Kalita Wave, and normally do a pretty high ratio like 35/550.

I do know of the 4:6 method that uses a pretty coarse grind and that's normally my go-to, I'm just wondering if there are any good recipes with a even more course setting. Thank you.

That's actually not high at all as 35/550 is basically the same and less convenient than saying 30/500, right?

That's what I would imagine most people are using for a ratio. I know I do.

Maybe I said it wrong, I meant larger brew size, not necessarily a higher ratio. 90% of the recipes I can find are in the 20/350 range .
