I think I'm in the 50C-ish club too. I like sensation of some warmth in both filter and espresso, but not hot. I have no problem drinking colder than that, and it's interesting to taste a cup multiple times as it cools down, tasting a little different each time.

The coffees that I have enjoyed the most always seem to shine at room temperature as well. I also get more flavor and distinction out of a warm to cool cup. I like the warmth of coffee, and so, prefer it above room temp, but they both handily beat hot coffee for me.

I agree, I always let my espresso/filter cool for 1-2 minutes before drinking it.
