Is this a medium grind?

Doubling my post from one other forum to get more points of view:

I know it is not consistent but i'm using a Hario Skerton - 6 clicks.

Giving James Hoffman's FP method another try tomorrow and decided to give it a go. This is what I usually use with my press but i'm not sure if this is what medium is. I checked some pictures online but they are either bad or I can't really tell.

Pictures are useless. Try it. If it tastes thin or sour, grind finer; if it tastes dull or bitter, grind coarser.

If it's really astringent and bitter, it's too fine. Too sour and weak, it's too coarse.

The Hario isn't the best grinder for a consistent result, as you can see in the picture.
If I remember correct 6 or 7 clicks is what I used for Moka grind, when still using the Hario.

For (French?) press you should grind a bit coarser then.
But again, it's not the most consistent grinder and probably also not too good to campare with other Hario's.

My advise: experience, until you like it best. :D
