hahaha props to mr coffee! that's pretty genius since a lot of people converting from automatic machines need more hand holding than most and this provides it!

I'll be interested to see how it does. I'm OK on the coffee part; but I could use all sorts of other appliances that coach me.

Just seems like a hot water kettle and a pour over cone into a vessel. May as well just get a Chemex or a Melitta pour over and a Bonavita for half the price or less.

Don't forget the scale and the timer, but not a scale or timer that you can set with your own preferences, one that works out of pre-built recommendations.

Perhaps the problem it may help solve is that most newbie folks don't weigh coffee or water, don't time anything, no thermometer and often don't have a process. They likely buy the coffee ground, which it won't help. The other problem is, many of these folks also don't think they need any of this.
