Grind size adjustments as coffee ages
For brew, do you guys adjust grind size at all as the coffee ages (i.e. a week after opening)? If so, finer or coarser?

Among my grinders, a little finer:
- every day or two for 98mm flats;
- every two-three days for 54mm/65mm flats and small conics;
- every three-five days for 68mm+ conicals.
Darker roasts seem to need less adjustment than lighter roasts, but that could be confounded with blend.
YMMV

Thanks, very helpful.
Just received my 98mm flat which I use almost exclusively for light / med-light Ethiopian so good to have your data point.

For brewing, no. For espresso, yes.FkinBeast wrote:For brew, do you guys adjust grind size at all as the coffee ages (i.e. a week after opening)? If so, finer or coarser?
