Dialing in SSP 64mm Unimodal v1 (Brew) - Page 2

Ok, switched back to the Decent PF and basket, with no paper filter on the bottom, and was able to choke the machine near zero. Backed off very slightly on the grind and got a normal flowing 9-bar shot. Still very close to zero though...has this been your experience?
About 100µm burr gap in the Mazzer, but 50µm when used in the Ode.. So I guess orientation matters (unless the alignment is that much worse on my Ode, could be a combination of both).EvanOz85 wrote:Still very close to zero though...has this been your experience?
just chiming in since i (still?) have interests in v1.
i have vst18 and decent18 straightwalled.
i can pull exact same shot (grind, time, yield, ratio) on both, so decent arent exactly slow flow basket. both also has similar grouphead clearance. result is pretty much similar in body balance and taste, with decent wee bit mellower, vst wee bit acidic, i suspect due to tapering on vst. more noticable cold.
basically treat both as high flow basket.
