Since an 804 lab sweet is cheaper than an eg-1, and actually buyable, unlike a monolith, I'm considering it as an alternative.

Taste seems to be positively reported, and highly subjective, do let's put that aside. What about the differences in workflow and general ownership experience? I saw the Brian Quan video on YouTube, which seems to say the main problems with the lab sweet are noise and static, which i guess can be mitigated by rdt. Am i missing anything? Is the 807 significantly different from the 804?
