I'm purchasing a 5 lb roaster and need to get a decent table for it, a table that holds the 400lb roaster. Any suggestions?

Would a stainless steel kitchen prep table in 14 or 16 gauge work?

Something like this:

Check Home Depot. They have a series of workbenches. Some are tables and some have a full set of drawers underneath. This one is rated at $3000 lbs.
You can specify in the search parameters the weight capacity range.

Seville has a bunch that will do that:

I've got 2 at my shop and they're plenty sturdy.

Something to consider is if you are commercial or not. If not then you have a wide option, if so then I'd likely stick to stainless for the top surface. I see stainless prep tables very cheap on craigslist/marketplace from restaurants all the time.
