Hi guys..

Maybe this is a stupid question but I dear say Ive asked sillier things in the past..

I'm wanting to purchase a Weber EG1 Onyx V2.

I've contacted them directly and been told that the wait time is 3-4 months plus I dear say the plane ride which in turn may stretch the process out another couple of months the way the situation currently is....

So...my question please. Are there any other outlets for Weber grinders apart from Weber or obviously here..?

Thanks for the replies if it's worth replying to.

Direct sales from Weber for new Eg-1.

And the used market.

Those are the only sources I know.

They occasionally show up here:

https://uncrate.com/weber-workshops-eg- ... e-grinder/

You can sign up for email updates or just contact them on when they might get another shipment.

Shipping should only take about a week since they use DHL. I have have gotten four shipments from them and DHL has delivered faster than expected. FWIW - I suspect the onyx are in higher demand than the silver and black. The EG-1 is a beautiful grinder just to look at. Using it is even better and worth waiting for.
Old baristas never die. They just become over extracted.

Hi guys..

Thanks for the replies...all appreciated.

I'm in new Zealand and shipping/freighting to our fair land is slower than a snail on the way to the Moon!!

I've looked at others but I think I'll just have to wait it out for when they become available new. I definitely want an Onyx unit. Silver doesn't do it for me.

Id still be in for a pre loved one if anyone has had a change of mind re their purchase.

Thanks again.

Andrew

Did you ask if you could prepay for the EG-1 and secure your place in line?

No not as yet. Admittedly I was hoping to find a pre loved unit. Our dollar against the US is utter shite which pushes the grinder to many thousands, plus the plane ride is extortionately expensive.

Maybe consider the more local Lagom P100?
