Thanks for all the replies and advice, post 83 Creminas don't seem to come up for sale often and my concerns about the asbestos were clearly something that I was not going to be able to live with. As luck would have it a lovely Elektra Microcasa a Leva came up for sale and I snapped it up. I will keep my eye out for a newer Cremina and hopefully sometime in the future one will come my way but in the mean time I am enjoying my first experience of a lever machine and the challenge of dialling in.
