Saint Anthony Industries Thoroughgood tamper

Anyone have experience with this tamper in a VST basket? Is it tapered? Can you compare it to a Pergman or Reg Barber?

I have the Statesman, but from what I can tell, the bases are the same. They are tapered, and 58.5mm. I believe the Pergtamp is 58.3.
My RB tampers pale by comparison (in terms of aesthetic) but they are built like tanks and have a great feel. I still use them for the convex profile. I finish with the statesman.
