Title says it all. I've seen very expensive scales, and very cheap scales. Been looking here, also Amazon, and a whole host of "best of" articles but I would just like real-time advice on a scale that I can weigh beans/portafilter, and then my extracted espresso.
I have a built-in timer for my new machine so that's not needed. Thanks in advance for any help.

Look for Triton or Jennings Precision scale.
Happy with the one I got from here. https://canadianweigh.com/collections/p ... -1g?page=2
Good feedback online from both these companies offerings when I researched them.

Between order and chaos there is espresso.

I've had this one for a while. The only thing that is ever an issue is the battery saving is a little aggressive as it goes to sleep after a minute or so.

This is almost the same one that klund linked to but it can be plugged in or take batteries. I bought it and like it. I think that one of the advantages of this one vs the one that klund linked to is that this one has a longer delay before it powers down. It come with the power adapter. https://www.amazon.com/SC-2KGA-Digital- ... B008FSHPNO

Definitely a cheapo scale from Amazon is the way to go. But, I prefer the ones with a 0.01g resolution like this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QF ... UTF8&psc=1
I find they respond to changes in weight much faster than the 0.1g resolution scales.

Went with the Decent Espresso Simple Scale. Having no timer and ability to turn off the auto shutoff are really helpful. Thanks guys.
