In the final installment of this series, Dan and Phillip discuss the capabilities, capacity, and consistency of the difference classes of espresso equipment. With six months of experience as a home barista (and he's really no longer a "newbie"), Phillip shares his decision process and offers his own advice for buyers in similar circumstances.
The earlier segments of the series are linked in the main thread, Espresso 101: Newbie Introduction to Espresso.

This is a really good video, Dan. You should probably make it a sticky.

Thanks, Phillip and I appreciate your kind feedback. Because stickies take up valuable real estate in the topic listing, I try to minimize their use. The entire series is linked by a sticky in the Tips & Technique forum and also shown as a top-level article here linked from the How-Tos. Hopefully that will make the series easy for new members to find (and with luck, will lead to more thoughtful discussions :)).

Another great video. Sad to see the newbie video series end :(
